Case Study at Mauritius Island: The Medine Group

Creating a Seamless Visitor Journey: IPera’s Tenant Group Feature at CASELA Nature Parks and SPARC, The Multi-sports Complex!

IPera was tasked with implementing the WiFi & Location Analytics add-on for the Medine Group’s two separate tenants, CASELA and SPARC. The CASELA Nature and Leisure Park, spanning 14 hectares in Mauritius, is home to various animals and offers safari tours, zip-lining, and quad biking. SPARC is also the first sports center on the west coast of Mauritius, offering premier health, fitness, sports, and leisure options.

To enhance visitors’ experiences, IPera provided free guest WiFi, mini-surveys, and campaigns for retaining and triggering interactions. The implementation also allowed for the creation of a tenant group, enabling smart login between CASELA and SPARC. If a visitor connects to the internet with SPARC’s SSID and later goes to CASELA, they will also be automatically connected there.

The Medine Group project didn’t face any digital transformation challenges specific although being on an island. The project’s main goal for IPera was to expand its customer base to the African continent, with the Medine Group being the first customer. The digital transformation improved visitor experiences and enabled businesses to collect valuable visitor data.

The provision of free guest WiFi is especially important for tourist attractions as it allows visitors to stay connected, share their experiences on social media, and access useful information on-site. This can attract more visitors and provide valuable data for future marketing and business strategies. Overall, the Medine Group project was unique due to the creation of a tenant group and the ease of access between CASELA and SPARC, contributing to an enhanced visitor experience.
